Two years- yes, it seems like yesterday and an eternity

Jonathan was so loved by so many. Hardly a day goes by that he doesn't come up in some conversation. Someone will remember a Jonathan joke or a Jonathan riff or a Jonathan dance and we will be filled with his presence in whatever space we are occupying. The space becomes occupied by Jonathan. We become occupied by Jonathan. It is still so hard to believe that such a life force could be stopped- thing is, it couldn't because my (young adult) child now tells Jonathan stories and laughs. His music lives on in all of us who knew him and even in some who might never have known him. He has possessed our hearts and minds and we carry him with us even when we are unaware of it. His energy is growing right along with us, right here, right now; he changed each of us forever and we can't help but keep the flame burning because it was so bright and strong and beautiful.
